'05 vs. '08
The 2005 boys come off the line with a fury, jacking the rate as high as they can, hoping that they can intimidate 08 with their explosive start. In the other lane, the 2008 guys pull a shaky start with the makeshift lineup, but they know that it is the hunting that they are best at. Unfortunately for them, the miraculously clean start of the 05 brings the boys’ hopes high, probably a bit too high for their conditioning, as they hammer a blazing 500 and put themselves a length up. Playing with the 05 boat, 08 rows efficiently close behind until it becomes clear that the prey is exhausted. However bold their move, it is now, at the 750, that the 05 guys realize they should have trained for this one, and they go out of control. Freygang fumbles at stroke to maintain the lead, but it is a lost fight, as 08’s stroke, Alexander Bunkers, turns on the heat and cleans them like Sunday morning (Summary by Nick Vinson).

Alumni vs. Varsity
This race is not fair in the slightest! The alumni boat has been unreasonable stacked, towering over the 2010 boys with their years and collegiate experiences. How in the world does Brett Peckham sit 3-seat? Well, this fateful race is entertaining as the alumni light off the start at 40 spm and walk right through the 2010 up to the 500, where, with little regard for their opponents’ dignity, shame the 2010 by dogging it at a 24 through the finish. A length or two of open later, the 2010 boys trail in, with faces of defeat and of anticipation of heartburn at Denny’s expense. What a race, ladies and gentlemen, what a race to remember (Summary by Nick Vinson).
